I breed registered Icelandic horses imported from Iceland starting in 2014. My family homesteaded all around the Big Muddy in Southern Sask from 1900-1954 they were instrumental in developing the modern horses you see here today by way of importing one of the first Arabian stallions to the area and putting him to the mares the herded by horseback and later rail to their ranch’s. There were three brothers, Hank, Fred and Alex ~ The Ainley’s. Lillian Ainley Burchill in the painting.
